# Save task list

Protected overridable method on `ClaimAppManager` that persists the current claim task list.

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Operation ID** | OP-CLM-005 |
| **Trigger** | A subclass calls it as part of its own `OnWrite()` implementation. |
| **Inputs** | None (`Tasks` collection state) |
| **Outputs** | `Boolean` |
| **Primary components** | `ClaimAppManager.SaveTasks` |
| **Entry point** | `SAIF.Application.Claim\ClaimAppManager.vb` |

## Steps

1. If `Tasks.Count > 0`, call `Tasks.Save()`.
   - Delegates to `clsClaimTaskGenerator.Save()` in the externally-packaged `SAIF.Business.Tasks.Claim` library; internal save logic is not traceable from this library's source**.
2. Return `Tasks.ErrorCount = 0` (success if no errors were recorded during save).
   - If `Tasks.Count = 0`, return `True` unconditionally (no-op success).

## Process flow

```mermaid
flowchart TD
	Start([SaveTasks called]) --> HasTasks{Tasks.Count > 0?}
	HasTasks -->|No| NoOp([Return True])
	HasTasks -->|Yes| Save[Tasks.Save]
	Save --> Errors{Tasks.ErrorCount = 0?}
	Errors -->|Yes| Success([Return True])
	Errors -->|No| Failure([Return False])
```

## Failure and edge-case behavior

- `Tasks.Save()` recording errors: `SaveTasks()` returns `False` per `Tasks.ErrorCount`.
